Fireworks: Color, Gradients and Transparencies

Start.

Howdy everyone! As I’ve mentioned in my previous post in this series, we are going to discuss colors, gradients and transparencies in Fireworks. Open your fireworks and create a new document. Create an ellipse using the ellipse tool found on the left side. To create a perfect circle, press and hold SHIFT while creating the ellipse.

Now look at your properties panel. It should be just below your drawing area, if you can’t see it, press CTRL-F3.

On the leftmost part, you can adjust the objects size and location on the canvass. Straightforward. Next set of icons allow you to change the objects color fill as well as fill type. Read the rest of this entry »
